The United States dollar is subdivided into 10 dime, or 100 cents (singular: cent; symbol: ¢ or c), or 1000 mill (for accounting use). Frequently used US dollar coins are in denominations of 1¢, 5¢, 10¢ (1 dime), 25¢ (1 quarter). Frequently used US dollar banknotes are in denominations of US$1, US$5, US$10, US$20, US$50, US$100. The United States dollar is the first most held reserve currency as well as the most traded currency in the foreign exchange market, following with the Euro (EUR), the Japanese yen (JPY), British pound sterling (GBP).
East Caribbean dollar
The East Caribbean dollar (XCD) is the currency of eight of the nine members (except British Virgin Islands) of OECS (Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States), Anguilla (UK), Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat (UK), Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint Lucia. The currency code is XCD and currency symbol is $, or EC$. The East Caribbean dollar is subdivided into 100 cents (singular: cent; symbol: ¢ or c). Frequently used East Caribbean dollar coins are in denominations of EC$1, EC$2, 1¢, 2¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢.
